What's your take on this tractor?
Guy wants 2k and says it doesn't run, needs carb work, left on land he bought.
Don't think I would give more than 1k if that.

Less is always better. Is the engine free? Tires holding air?

Scrap price. IT doesn't run you say and could and probably will be come an expensive run up to have running dependably. Being it id\s a gas engine would make me run not walk.

What you got against gas burners other than points, condensers, coils, and carburetors?

I would say around that 1K you were thinking. And it depends how bad you want a project to work on.

Already have 4 tractors, don't really need another, but hate to see something go to scrap.
Guess I was really wondering if it would be a worthy dependable tractor if it ran well.

A lot of people stayed away because they were made in England and weren't certain they could get replacement parts when necessary. On paper they look like a tractor that could fit a lot of people's needs.

After 2 attempts with tractors that did not run, I have swore to never buy another one. Spent way more on initial purchase and parts than I could get when I gave up and sold them as "runs but has problems". Not even sure I would take one for free!
