My rice D atleast has rice fenders on it. Not sure why the D pictured is called a rice D.

i am wondering the same also. its on cut off steel on rear.why do you think its a rice model?

It came on full steel with no brakes has
Mud guards on rear axles, had rice tires and came from rice growing area don't know about the fenders they could have been changed sometime ,never checked with twocylinder

almost none of them had brakes, seems easier someone added mud guards, but unlikely so.......
