gonna try again with this question.

what is the amount of play in the brake peddles on a 460. watched a video on disk brake replacement on a SH so a 460 should not be that much different, maybe. in the video, the play is between 1 1/8" to 1 3/8". is this about same for a 460?

hope this is a better description of what i'm am trying to ask.

thanks

what problem or what are you asking about?? I gave the spec's in your other post. plus you did not say what tractor you are talking about. im sure I gave the spec's for international and farmall tractor. 2 diff. tractors,... 2 diff spec's. plus you never got back to the post to answer anything. so many questions asked on here then never hear hide nor hair of the guy after that. at least communicate with your problem .it is far more important so both brakes lock evenly on the same notch which would be about a third of the way down.

The clearance inside the housing when the expanders are relaxed, and the pull rods are loose is dramatically important. when
the internal clearance exceeds about .150" they begin to lock up and/or not work at all. To adjust and assess this
clearance, the housing and internal components (discs and expander) need to be on a bench. Put all parts in order and
centered in the housing and measure down to the top of the inside disc from a straight edge. The gap should be close to
.035" on that tractor. The reason for this is to keep the angle of the pull linkage near the new specification.
To reduce excess clearance, the housing casting is milled down to make it closer to the tractor. Jim
