460 remote hydraulics

i have a 460 utility with the ta delete i can work my 2pt hitch work but i cant get any action for my hyd remote is there a setting ineed to do there is a knob on the dash if i turn it ican hear the motor strain but thats all thanks for any help

The knob you are talking about, is it about 3/4 shaft with two flat sides and you can use a crescent wrench to turn it? By turning this shaft you can make your valve single acting or double acting. You say that it makes the engine labor. Makes me think maybe your valve is stuck in either raise position or lower. Can you move your handle through the three positions. Raise. Neutral. Lower.??

yes it has the fat spots as you said and i can move the little handle there up and down the tractor will stop laboring when i turn it to one side the flat sided knob turns also thats how i get the tractor to stop laboring
