I know you guys are probably tired of this, but my poor abused tractor is getting fixed slowly. When I bough it the instrument cluster was shot. Obviously it was setting outside because the tachometer was rusted up. Bought a new cluster and wiring harness, warning lights now work, so that's fixed. Has anyone had issues with the drive on the oil pump. Or the adapter. I can put a drill on the tach cable and move the needle but have no movement when hooked to the adapter. The short cable put into the adapter does not appear to turn when the tractor is running.

I've had to replace a couple of those short cables. With the main cable disconnected, you should see the end of the short cable spinning when the tractor is running.
