460lp suffix codes

I have acquired a 460LP and has suffix codes C-S-Y and an L off to the side. It's a '63 model. I know that S is for the TA and Y is for the 12 GPM pump but not sure on the C or L.

Well C, is for L.P.Gas, I think is L is a high compression head,, did it come from a high allitude area?

Actually they call id a High altitude cylinder Head!

Not that I'm aware of. It's probably been in this area for at least 20 years but who knows.

I knew that C meant propane on my Super M - 450 tractors but wasn't sure if that was still the case for 460/560.

Noticed a L on several LP tractors serial plates before. Think it was another way to indicate LP even though not listed under the suffix codes.
