464 ignition

I have a 464 international harvester gas tractor.
Can someone help me with distributor / points and condenser wiring? Does the points and condenser and the wire to the coil tie in all together on the lug in the distributor?

Yes.the spring tab on the points, condenser wire on the inside of the distributor and
the negative terminal of the coil on the outside of the distributor. Make sure the
terminal post is insulated where it goes through the distributor housing.

The way my distributor is made it doesn't have a terminal on the outside everything ties to the lug terminal.

Does The wire that goes to negative side of coil need a insulator between the spring and condenser?

The lead from the coil, the spring on the points, and the condenser wire all must connect together on the internal lug, no insulator between any of them where they connect.

you'll have to look up the petronix ignition for your application , theres all different ignitions for the different tractors
