whats the procedure to adjust the valves on a 47 a i think they gap at .20 ?

Tighten until the tappet just touches the end of the valve then back off 1/3 turn which would be two sides of a hex nut.

You can tell when the adjuster screws down onto the valve because the push rod will go tight. As you turn down the adjuster, turn the push rod between your fingers. When you feel the push rod go tight you are there. Then all you do is back of 2 flats.
