47 G timing

On my G i run racing fuel to keep the knock down , can i turn the timing some to help it ? i want to take it plowing .Timing would be cheeper than racing fuel .I dont need to add a lot of race gas just a blend . but G"s like there fuel . How much is to much and which way is to retard it top back or foward on the distributer ?

How much compression do you have?

If you are on the RH side of the tractor, you rotate the distributor CLOCKWISE to retard it.
