47T baler timing gear

I am looking at an international 47T baler. It is a wire tie, and supposedly baled 2-300 bales in 2003-2004 without missing a tie, then the timing gear got out of time. One of the feeder forks got bent a little, and now it trys to feed when it should be packing. Is this an easy fix? They want 600 obo. Will I need a new timing gear? Someone said maybe just pulling the gear and putting it back properly might fix it. Is this a good project, or a hopeless one?

That is way too high for this baler. If it was in working order it would not bring $600. Wire tie and not working. Scrap price: $100-$200
You will need to look at it close to tell what caused it to get out of time. Too many things that can cause it to guess here.
