running tractor, left outside(64 years) got water in transaxle. pto seized anybody been there done that? removed outer brg rough but spins milky gear oil. are brgs and gears available?

Every part is available, somewhere...

JD still carries many parts and fellows on here are good at helping Cross-reference Bearing Numbers..
There are some "After-Market" parts being made too..

Since the pto shaft and bevel gear were one of the first things put into the main case at assembly, I would remove the rear cover and see if what runs from the front to the rear cover spline connector turns. Could be revealing. Best way to get the water and sludge out of there anyway. Download a copy of the parts book at jjdparts.com and look itover for a while first.

If you remove the rear end cover and that is where the problem is, there are people that remove the whole rear cover as a one unit and replace it with a gutted rear cover or flat cover with no hydalics to lighten up pulling tractors. My dad has a complete rear cover from a 49 A and I know I have a complete rear cover for a 52 A that is not in use.
