I towed home a 48 oliver model 70, that I was told, had been ran till it blew up. I found the block cracked, externally and internally, after removing the head. someone had done a poor JB Weld job on the outside crack. The crankshaft is toast, and #1 rod is snapped, and beat the devil out of the inside of the block. I think this is the 6cyl contential engine that it came out with!I am in the market for another engine, either running, or rebuildable. I also wonder what other engines could be adapted to this tractor? I am in the puget sound area of washington, and am hoping for a reply, from not too many states away. Please let me know if you have something you want to let go of!
