49 8n shuts down after bush hogging...

It does it every year after about an hour of bush hogging. Just dies with no warning. Will not start again until cool. Luckely today I made it to the shed after hogging one field. A guy at work said may be gas line vapor lock from the heat and to put clothes pins on line to dissapate the heat.(Havn't tried it yet) Anyone ever heard of this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is still 6v pos ground with marvel carb...

Rick.......there are 4-common runtime issues with the 4-nipple frontmount dizzy.

1) runs fer about 1-min and quits; restarts in about 10-mins; BAD condenser, NOT yer problem
2) runs fer about 5-mins an quits; restarts in about 10-mins; CLOGGED in-the-tank fuel filter; NOT yer problem
3) runs fer about 15-mins and quits; restarts in about 30-mins; BAD weaksister ignition switch; NOT yer problem
4) runs fer about 1-hr and quits; restarts innna bout 4-hrs or overnite cool down; Sound like yer problem??? Do I haffta tell you to replace yer 1-terminal squarecan ignition coil???

Well wooden clothes pins would NOT cool off yer metal fuel line, would they??? While we're gittin' complaints about todays modern ethelized (corn alcohol) gas of eazy boiling gas, Yer gravity fed M-S carb does NOT gitt vapor locked. .......respectfull, Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
