#5 Mower help needed

Any JD sickle bar experts out there? Trying to restore a #5, but part numbers aren't matching up.

A lot of the parts from JD are no longer available or have been replaced with another part number if you are using jdparts.com. Like everyone else said, what are you looking for?

First I apologize if I'm hi-jacking someone's thread. I know I'm in need of a couple #5 mower parts as I'm restoring my fathers that went on his A. I know I'll need at least: Pull bar plus the connection part Nos. Z7677H and Z979, the Shoe fender rod: Z6959H and the (2) universal clamps to the mower power shaft Z1188H. Also my rear hydraulic bracket has been welded. Maybe good to replace ? part no. Z1188H

The pull bar is sort of large. Len where in Vermont as I'm in Mass. Skiing season is starting should be up there shortly. Maybe wouldn't need to ship.

There is a good unwelded hydrualic bracket listed on ebay right now if you do John Deere No.5 as the search.

Where in MA are you? I just recently got my No.5 working and set up on my MT and may be able to offer some help with yours. Shoot me an e-mail.

He just became a father for the second time yesterday so it may require a little time for him to get everything back to normal to get parts out.

I am in New Haven, just north of Middlebury. However, my nephew,
David Bull, on Montgomery Road, Westfield, has the second of the
two #5"s that we had. I took one and the other is there. It is not
functional but there are a ton of parts on it. Where are you in Mass?

Would you prefer parts to fix up yours or are you interested in a complete mower? I recently did an appraisal with a very nice #5 mower on it. It is complete and is operational. It is in Iowa however not far from Int. 80.
