'50 8n head lights

When installing head lights on a '50 8n, does it use "wings" or cups?

I can't find where I read it, that the round brackets were used on the 8N 1948 and later and the winged on anything earlier. But because the lights were mounted at the dealer, they used what they had in stock, so I believe winged are technically correct as well. Not an expert but that's what I have read so far.
