500 inline pump swap

Has anyone swapped the inline pump from a 600/900 era 377 in place of a rotary on the big 500?

It is a direct swap onto the engine. You just time it with the inline pump method. You do have all the injection lines with it though for the rotary ones will not work, but the inline pump will bolt up to the existing injectors.

You mean be careful that you're not out of time by 180 deg when installing??

Using all the castings and gear train from the inline pump engine will put the inline at the proper rpm, just unbolt the casting right at the engine block and install it. You must get #1 cylinder at recommend timing before removing and reinstalling new pump, It would be helpful if you had the timing procedure from the Case manual if you are not familiar with the swap.
