Watched this 5000 sell at auction yesterday, had a hard time not bidding on it myself, December 74 model with 2 spd pto, 16.9-34 rears, one wheel needed a patch, the other had been patched, grill was missing and grill shell had a good sized dent, dual remote valve, Dunham 22 quick attach loader with bucket and bale spear
370 hrs on the meter so assuming it had rolled over at 10,000 hrs
Sold for $6600
Hated not bidding but we already have two 5000 s, 5600 and 6600. Don t need another tractor that size but I would have liked have a second two spd pto tractor

One of the tractor clubs I used to belong to always put on a display with an old-time sawmill, sawing boards from logs. We also had a shingle mill and my '48 8N &
DEARBORN Cordwood saw. We used a FORD 5000 to power the sawmill it and it was great. It wasn't mine, belonged to another member but everybody got a turn at running it. In
my pic you can just see the rear wheel in RH corner.

My cousin had a 5000 on his medium sized dairy farm. Over the years it filled various positions, initially as the main "horse". For its last maybe 15 years it was on the mixer wagon. He retired it around 2010, when it was not big enough for the new wagon.
