5000 ford row crop

My 5000 ford's 3 point doesn't regulate right. It picks up, but is all the way or not, and the lever only acctivates in the upper couple of inches of travel. hydralics work fine for the loader or cylinder. this seemed to start all at once. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm less familiar with that large of a tractor.
But doesn't it have the little Draft/Position control handle?
Any chance that got bumped or kicked into draft mode?

My 5000 row crop does the same thing. The draft/position lever works properly when I switch from one setting to the other. The three point arms will only raise in the last inch of lever movement like yours. The other symptom is that the three point hitch will move 700 lb. round bales all day, but will only lift my three bottom plow the first time. After the first round, the tractor will only lift the plow about 2 inches off the ground. The pump pressure checks fine. Thanks for asking the question Olan.

Yea - classic symptom of the cam-follower pin in the 100 series of tractors, but wouldn't know if the 1000 series, esp the bigger 5000, has that same design?

Perhaps the draft linkage is slipping on the shaft. On a rowcrop the draft lever behind the seat is hooked to a linkage that goes to the lever under the platform. Check it out.
