5000 Ford

Replaced hydraulic pump about 5 years ago. Been using cutting hay and the lift and remotes are weak
until the oil warms up. The strainer is clear and new oil. Is this a sign the pump is going out again.
It seems to make winning noise when lifting the disc mower and the loader is very slow except the small cylinder on the loader. Thanks for any help.

weak until the oil warms up?? is opposite of a worn pump. get you a 3000lb guage and hydraulic coupler and run your own test on the output.

The lift and remote work better after using tractor for 15 minutes. Very slow and weak at first start up.

Makes no sense if, as you say, the strainer is clean. Unless you're using 90wt for hydraulic fluid. I'm drawing a blank on this one.

rue enough for me....all I have ever observed, in too many years to talk about , always get weaker as fluid gets warmer.
