5000 hydraulic system

Hello!

It was suggested that I post over here from the general forum.

I have a 1971 5000 diesel tractor and 727 loader with a snow blower on the three point hitch. The SB has a hydraulic motor to turn the chute. The loader is using the two hydraulic remotes so that if I want to use the SB I disconnect the bucket and hook up the chute motor. It was mentioned that I need a power beyond valve to provide hydraulics for a seperate two spool valve for the loader then I could leave the chute motor hooked up to the remote and have a spare remote.

What is a power beyond valve? Where does it mount and is it something that must come from Ford or are there other sources?

This tractor has the "Load Monitor" option that has another set of remotes. I would like to know more about that system and if there is a way to make the extra remotes useful.

Thanks!

Rick

they make a PB plate that sandwiches under your top cover vale. from there plumb that to an open center PB capable valve.. use that to run the chute.. leave the remotes for the loader.. or leave the remotes as remotes, and have that pb plate run a banl of 3 valves.. 2 for the laoder 1 for the chute.

your call.

the plate is sold here...

The only way I know of to use the LM remote requires a LM cylinder, on an implement like a semi-mounted plow. Those remote couplers are tied in with the 3-point and are load-sensing. My 7000 and 7600 both have the Load Monitor, and as far as I know, those couplers have never been used on either tractor.

FF,

I think they are on the tractor just to tease me, They look like something that could be useful but can't be made practical!
Thanks,

Rick
