4010 puller

Hi guys:

What has to be done to unhook the pan from the tractor of a jd 5010 industrial pan/scraper ? I have seen photos of them and remember one years and years ago as a kid, but havent seen one in some time. Was just wondering how they disconnected for hauling?

I believe they were hauled as a unit. But I would imagine a pto shaft bunch of hydraulic lines and drive a pin from the hitch out. My company had the newer version maybe 760. The pans were wore out pulled the pans of and made a tractor to pull disc's with in the fills.

According to the 760A manual, you remove the longitudinal pin above the rear axle, after blocking the saddle with wooden blocks for easier realignement. The scraper hydraulics are used to raise the gooseneck hitch above the rear saddle. One just add to put some big wooden blocks under the scraper blade. It seems fairly simple.

No hydraulic quick couplers, the scraper was only intended to be removed for repairs.
