504 manifold

A street L is screwed into the end of my manifold, then pipe to the muffler. Is that original? Tapered pipe thread or standard bolt thread? The threads are in poor shape so I want to fix it right.

I just replaced Mine a few days ago 504 gas. The 90 belongs there it is pipe threads.

Thank you sir, it is gas. I'm going to try to tap the threads a little deeper and see if it helps.

I tapped mine and used a new 90deg with a lock nut from the electrical conduit dept. After that I built a bracket so I could clamp it solid with muffler clamp. I drilled the bracket that holds the radiator to the head,I think I used a 2 1/2" clamp and spaced it to the IH bracket.(I sold the tractor 1 1/2 year a go.)
