Heretofor, my A has started like most I know of on a cold start. That is, 1/4 throttle with full choke and spin until the first pop. Push in choke and hit starter and it will immediately start. That is the formula for my 520 also. As of late, it will only start with no choke and full throttle and it seems to be flooded. I know that is the method for starting a flooded engine. It idles and runs great. The automatic gas shut-off is working properly (no leaks from the gas line) and no drips from the carburetor. I am wondering if it could be a bad float and letting it flood from gas in the line after the gas shut-stops the gas flow. What do you think? Thanks
