520 air cleaner

What did the 520 have for a air cleaner from the factory? The parts book shows only a cleaner with a cast base like a 530,but the rest of it looks like a air cleaner from a B that has slits cut into it to draw in the air.Or did they have one like the 530 also.Thanks

The 520 without the optional vertical stack and Donaldson pre-cleaner, has a tube (under the hood) that runs above the radiator and curves down into the nosecone area.

Sorry about that,I was referring to the above the hood type Stack.Thanks for pointing that out for me

The precleaner was made available late in 520 production and was also available as a field installed kit. Two styles were available, one with the bowl and the other with the straight pipe as you mentioned with perforations in it (looking like one on a B). Mike
