I am doing the brakes..wondering if there is any precoutions I need to take when putting new seals in and axels back in and installing the new brakes..thanks

I see that you discovered the big secret to doing that work... It's easier once you get the tractor down from the ceiling. :D
 

Dan, what triggered this and how much work has it been to deal with? I ask because I've just noticed oil leaking from one of my 850's brake drums and I've (not surprisingly) lost most of my stopping power on that side.

Nice looking tractor by the way!

make sure the hubs are not worn on the splines .if they are they make undersize hubs [on the splines] clean up the splines and hub real good [brake cleaner] put silicone inside of the hubs and tighten the axle nut TIGHT I mean real TIGHT if you don't the hub will loosen up and you will get oil leakage done several this way no leakage yet also have the drums turned
