Is there a filter or screen for the hydraulic system that needs to be serviced? Three point will not raise completely right away with a blade attached. It will raise over time. Need some help troubleshooting this.

Hi, no, there is no filter or screen to service. Are you sure the hydraulic fluid is full? Do you have the original vane pump or has it been switched to the later piston hydraulic pump? When it does raise, does it pulse at all, or remain stationary? When you shut off the engine does the lift remain up in the air, or does it slowly (or quickly) sink?

The hyd on my Jubilee won't work in winter on the cheap universal hyd oil. I had to use the good stuff CNH 134.

Oil level is full, appears to have the original pump, when we raised the 3 pt today I could feel the arms pulsing as they went up. The arms stay up with engine off and no load on the arms, other than my 200 lbs. I'm not exactly sure when the problem started as this is my Dads tractor, it hasn't been cold enough to have ice in the system when we have used it. I have no idea what brand or grade the oil is.

Hi John, it sounds like maybe the original vane pump is going. There is a way to pressure test the system. You will need a manual. If the pump is bad, or going bad, then that type of pump cannot be rebuilt. You will need to buy a replacement piston pump. It could also be that there might be some sludge in the control valve assembly. You might first try draining the fluid and replacing it with new fluid.
