530 CK Model 32 Backhoe Valve

I am trying to find a rebuild kit for the valve on my Model 32 hoe but the dealer doesn't seem to stock them, or even a replacement valve. Does anyone know of anything thats close that could be used to replace the o-rings, or maybe even an upgrade on the valve itself to something newer that has parts available. The valve is a 5 spool ganged unit, I believe 20 GPM.

Thanks in advance.

You might want to check with Surplus Center Lincoln Ne 800 488 3407 nice people to work with and good prices.

To my knowledge there never was a complete rebuild package for that valve. That being said I am sure that all the orings required to reseal it are available individually. Get with an old line Case dealer who specializes in backhoes and skid steers. Dealers that came from the IH side could care less in most cases. you should get as much data from the valve as possible. mEl

Valve is probably a Barksdale, Eaton or other manufacture's valve. I don't think Case made these, they contracted them out or bought 3rd party components. Can you see another manfactuers tag/stamping on it with ID and numbers? If so check with them, possibly still available. I found info on early small 30 series power steering pumps. They were made under contract by John S. Barnes who was bought by Eaton. Not a lot of the special parts still available but most seals are. You could get lucky.

Those are Commercial/Intertech brand valves...don't know that they ever had a kit but all they use is various size o-rings. Doubt if there is much availability for the valves other than used...as in used up.

Most likely OM is correct on the Commercial valve as Case used a lot of them. It is a multi section valve with orings between the sections and last I knew individual sections were available. BUT, it has been years so no guarantees anymore as companies are dropping part numbers as demand decreases. As I said previously, get numbers and get with a Case dealer that cares and has books, most dealers from the IH side do not have info on those old hoes or don't have personell that care. Get with me as I have done more of those valves than I care to remember and work of a dealer that knows and has an excellent parts dept. but if you do we are not doing it on forum, I do not like to see the forum commercialized, it's here for info. mEl

I agree with mEl on commercialization, BUT from personal experience, the Case parts guy spoken about , Denny, (NOT formerly IH) is a parts genius and can find most any anything Case if it still exists in inventory in the US. To keep comercial data out of the forum, my email is open, if you strike out drop me a mail and I will get you the phone number to call.

Melvin and Denny are truly a blessing to Case and probably only a few people know their REAL value and worth to J. I. Case folks that are reparing and restoring tractors.

Not taking anything away from others on here also like John Saeli, Don Livingston, Adirondak Case guy, Fred Goodrich, JC Marleau and many others. This forum has many many very knowledgeable folks that have helped me over the years. I bet parts or a suitable substitute valve comes out of this discussion for you.
