530 PTO utility

Messaged Joe Wa on this but lost original message. I have a 530 utility with 31 loader that did not have PTO. Found a donor 310B and pulled the pto. It did not have a seal carrier on the shaft at all and it was the same with no internal hydro pump just the front mounted pump for the loader. My question is the 530 has the seal carrier but with no internal hydro pump does it matter if it bleeds compartments? It has a gaping hole were the reverse gear would have been but since this is a shuttle it is not installed. The carrier did have the plug in it so that is what my concern was. Once I removed the plug it exposed the nice new bushing....pto slides right in and seems like it will work fine. Leave the seal or put one in to make pool oil on the bushing on the front side of it? Thanks for any input!

Are you talking about a regular thread or post made here on YT? If so I see several threads on the PTO subject in the archives by you with replies from Joe WA. Use the “Search or spy glass” at the upper right in the top box type “530 PTO” in the member box type your username Zach81 and click the Search.

Yes, but that was years ago on a 530 standard with different options. Sort of the same but different situation on that one. I private messaged Joe the other day but lost them. Figure is ask the masses instead of bugging him direct again.

A Private Message with him through the YT forum? Go to the “mail/envelope” icon at the top and click “show all” it should be there unless you chose the “Leave” option at the top which would have warned you it would remove it from your list. To exit a PM use the “Direct Message with an arrow to its left same as you would exiting a thread in a forum or you can just click the YT logo at the top (red tractor silhouette) and it takes you to the main forum menu.

Zach look up where your log-in name is. Click on the envelope icon to the right of your name. On the bottom of the drop down menu click on "show all". Joe
