530 stuck in gear, need help!

I was cutting pasture today with the 530 and a no 9 mower, stoped backed up, then put back into 2nd,moved afew feet , went to put in nutural but was still in foward gear , i could shift to 2nd but it would kill the tractor when tried to move. Even with clutch disingaged i cant pull it. I got the top off , i can see the linkage, nothing appears wrong, but i dont no much about it ,any help would be appreactied!

Sounds like you managed to get it in 2 gears at once. You'll probably need to slide the shifters around to get it in nuetral and start from there. Then adjust your shifter rails so everything's per the book.

Mesed with it for a couple or hours could only get the 3rd one to move.

Unless someone else has a better idea, I'd probably engage the clutch and jack up one wheel and rock it around until you can get the shifter rails lined up and get it in nuetral. You'll know it's in nuetral when you can freely turn the wheel.

Get a good light in there, take a peek at the parts catalog/technical manual to understand the gears, and go from there.

Your stuck in two gears with reverse one of them. line the shifters up and you should be good to go. The shifters have a positive lock on them and it has to be released or the shifters wont move. If you came across the bottom of the quadrant to get in reverse you most likely lost that shifter. Next time you cross over make the shift lever go all the way down and hit both outside corners as the shifters are wore.

You don't need to jack it up. Once the belt pulley will rotate freely then the tranny is in neutral.
