Took the 530 apart and found a small piece of the piston skirt broke off after the last/lower ring. It is not effecting the rings. Will this bother it? It is going to be used for raking and tedding hay what do you guys think??

HUM ? How did it get broken ? Is the piece still in there or has it been like that a long time.
Is the connecting rod bent even ever so slightly ?

If you know any history of it and it has been like this a long time now already then it must not bother it. Or it is bothering it and that is the reason for the tear down.

I would find a good used piston and replace it. It would be a good time for a set of rings and a vale job. If you run it like it is you have a grenade with the pin pulled and you are waiting for it to blow.
