530ck brake shaft

Have a 530ck backhoe that I am redoing the brakes. I am needing the specs for the brake shaft end play and backlash if it has any. TIA.

I have done dozens of those over my career with Case, regardless of the service manual recommendation I always set the shafts up with a noticeable rolling torque, The book probably wants a minimum of .003--Max .009 gear backlash. I would stay as close to the bottom of the spec as possible using a dial indicator off the ring gear. If that is an original 530 never worked on it will have Bakelite thrust washers between the side gears and the differential carrier, you must replace them with steel one and they are select fit to set the spider gear clearance, the bakelites fail and allow much end play in the diff shaft and seal failure. Big however, the axles and bull will have to be removed to service the thrust washers
