I have a 5310 diesel and can't get a prime pumped to the injectors. Does anyone have any tips to get this done?

I don't have a 5310 operator's manual but there should be a step by step procedure in there.
1-800-522-7448 for a new manual if somebody lost it.

I had that happen on a 5300 once..the hand primer was sucking air and wouldn't pump enough fuel. Ended up replacing it before it ever worked right. You can crack the injector lines and turn the engine over with the starter to see if they do get wet. Try loosening the fuel cap to make sure you aren't getting a vacuum either.

If I have a problem getting fuel to inj pump I use an air compressor and insert air blower nozzle in fuel filler neck with remainder of opening plugged with a rag and put small, short bursts of air into fuel tank. This is of course is with the air bleeder open on inj pump !!!!!!!!!!

I have had this happen to mine. I read the owners manuel it says to be sure to fill the fuel tank to the top with fuel. also helps to have tractor on level ground. The level ground part I found out on my own. Then it primed.
