545 dimensions

Does anybody know the dimensions of a 545 combine w/ a four row narrow head? Looking at buying one have to let trucker know so he can get permits. Thanks

Width without header: 10 feet, 6 inches

Overall length: 24 feet, 5 inches

Height: 10 feet, 2 inches

Wheelbase: 136 inches

Drive wheel tread: 82, 99 or 115 inches. The 115 is probably for the 18.4 X 26 tires.

Weight: 10,270 lbs. with standard 16.9 x 26 tires

This information is from the 1967 advertising brochure. There is no information on the weight, width or length on the corn head in the CH brochure.

I forgot to mention, I think those demensions are for a combine without a cab.

I ran a cabbed 545 with (if I remember right) a factory hopper extension plus a wood extension of about 1 foot.

It went under a 13 foot door easily but it could have been 12 foot high with the extensions.

The narrow head I think slide out to 34 inch rows (I know it did 32) so you could estimate the width because the outer rows would be to the outside of the main beam of the head.

Hope this helps but it has been over 25 years since I saw that machine.
