546/548 spring reset plow differences

Brother bought a 3x16 spring reset plow a
while back. He thinks it is a 546 or 548.
To be honest he's not sure what it is.
Sure looks like a 546/548. Maybe even a
508. No tag. Repainted in oliver colors.
Definitely an oliver/white by the design.
I don't have any pics. Plow is up at the
farm under snow. Just wondering the
differences !

I'm pretty sure this is a 546 not far from me. Convertible 3 or 4 bottom, 14 or 16 inch. Been sitting there for a long time. I think about trying to get it once in a while. Others here should be able to tell you more.

I think the 548 is 18 and 20 inch.

Looks similar, but his is the spring reset type with the 2 large coil springs.

Hi. The 548 was available as 14"-16" or 16"-18".The biggest difference in the 2 plows was backbone size. The earlier 546 was furnished with a welded backbone.
