550 3 pt hitch

Did all 550s come with a three point hitch or was it an option that ended up being on most of them?

I had an industrial version (for parts) no 3 point on it or provisions for one. Flat top cover. other than that, I am not sure.

I'm not sure, but three points were pretty "standard." Draw bars were not common.

Remember, in 68, sales of 550s were turned over to the construction equipment division and the designation was changed from an Oliver 550 to a White 2-44. Ag dealers had to order 550s through the CED and there was an extra charge to get one painted green and decaled as a 550, so they would be equipped however a dealer ordered them.

My '61 550 is orange and doesn't have a 3 point or pto. Just a large front loader with a crank driven pump
