550 Alternator mounted

I was able to mount the 12SI alternator pretty easy onto the 550. Just needed some longer bolts and a few washers. Had both the amp and oil buzzers working. Then when I went to put the plate that surrounds the key switch back in I shorted something. I think its the key switch. Going to have to do some exploring tonight. Now I have no buzzers and the starter won't engage. The fuses look good.
I guess its another of those simple projects that opens a can of worms. It will be a better tractor when I'm done though.

One other thing, the spark plug wires are exactly opposite from the wiring diagrams that I have. I'll have to figure out what was done there.

yeppers. little projects are gifts that keep giving.

but she'll start so much better with a fully charged battery! spins mine right up now. with the alternator, and electronic ignition.
