Don't know why it doesn't crank but the buzz might me a low oil pressure warning.

Do those have a neutral safety or clutch safety switch? Might not be making a connection there if it does.

Buzzer is for oil pressure. You have a bad connection or your neutral start switch may be out of adjustment. Turn the lights on and try to start it. When you try to start it do the lights stay on, do they dim or do they go out?

o ok I did accidently knock a light off so maybe a wire shorted out
ill check tomorrow

All the time or only when trying to operate the starter? If the latter, it is likely the starter solenoid and not the ignition system.

Considering other past posts on this site, what do you mean by "crank"?

For the vast majority of people "crank" means that the starter engages the flywheel and the engine rotates or "turns over".

I've seen a few posts using "crank" to mean that the engine starts and runs.

Usually a problem in the ignition circuit or starter circuit does not affect the other.

so if it is said that the engine does " not crank" then the starter does not engage the flywheel and the engine does not run

sounds like a bad switch to me...you sometimes can make the same noise
flipping a light switch between on and off fooling around half way...buzzing
is electricity jumping back and forth trying to connect...

as long as it doesn't end in flames that is... lol flames are the result of
taking the hot wire and grounding it...makes a heck of a buzz...just before
the flames.

worked in a factory once...guy grounded 600 volts...shook the entire factory
