This is the part I need, as you can see the gear on the end has soms broken teeth. And wont turn when in.

Does anyone know wer I can get one or does any have one? Thanks this the 86 old man doing his last one.1hr please help.

I think I told you about him before, but Kent Gordon deals with 55 and 550 tractors. His number is 903-729-8349.

You probably cannot buy just the gear, but you should be able to buy a used assembly. Kent Gordon in TX, Maibach in Ohio, Ebay etc. This gear box is used on other Oliver tractors of the same vintage as your 550.

I haven't looked it up, but I would think it would be the same one used on a Super 66,660,Super 77,770,Super 88 and 880 wouldn't it?

There is a complete tach drive in Nebraska call Gerald at 402 363 8388.

They come up on ebay sometimes,possibly contact one or more of the sellers on ebay that have a large amount of used Oliver parts on there.

I had the same issue with my 550. I built up the missing teeth with brazing rod. Then I used a die grinder with a new cutoff blade to get the teeth close. Finally I filed down the built-up teeth back where it should be. That was a few years ago and it still functions properly.
