550 running again

I got the little tractor put back together yesterday.I had the rod reworked at local machine shop. polished the crankshaft journal with Crocus cloth. I have about 2 hours a good run time on it and the engine sounds good. i still need to fine tune the carb or buy a kit for it. this is my first oliver and i have to say this little tractor has lots of pull. was pulling a single bottom 16" ferguson plow in hard packed rocky ground. i know this land has not seen a plow in about 40+ years. I will try to get some pictures and post later today. thanks

Good to hear!! I just got my super 55 up and running after sitting for 5 years because the governor had stripped. Got it up and running last week after replacing the governor gear assembly. I also converted to 12 volts and did a full tune up.

These little Olivers are great tractors.
