550Exhaust Bracket

I bought a muffler and pipe from Napa(wife gets parts discount). I needed the bracket that holds vertical pipe to hood, so I bought 1 from a supplier. I went to put it on this afternoon and it's not lining up right. I have the exhaust pipe positioned straight up and down and the bracket lacks about 2" from reaching the hood. Are the after market pipes that far off from original? I can't turn the muffler far enough to make the bracket work because it hits the bottom of the hood and if it did, the pipe would be leaning at an angle. I looked for pictures of a 550 and found one showing the exhaust pipe and it looked like the bend in the pipe was much tighter than the aftermarket one I have. Looks like I will have to fab up something to hold vertical pipe. Chris

Have you got enough straight section of horizontal portion of pipe to be able to shorten it so it is inserted further into muffler?

We had the same issue when putting on a new upright exhaust pipe. We cut about an inch off of the horizontal part of the pipe.

I think I cut some off the short end of mine too. I had to clear my loader frame. Got is pretty straight. (Sorry they're sideways)
