553 loader attachments

My dad has a JD 5303 with a JD 553 loader on it.
He got pallet forks from the JD dealer (frontier).
They will not fit, the bottom pins don"t line up, with loader brackets.
They got another one. Same thing.
Anybody else have this loader with forks?
This loader does not have the skid steer brackets Would have had them installed if dealer had mentioned that has a opition.

Do they make forks for this loader?

Have had this problem many times. Deere solution is to check and see if "lip" of quick attach on forks is wide enough for loader to fit in, may need ground down. If thats ok the btm area of loader quick attach needs to be ground down. I will try to post picks tmr.

First be sure that fork is tight in upper lip (btm pic) If that is tight like pic then grind down like top pic. Deere says that the forks or other attachments arent made correctly. Ive had them tell me to warrenty a brand new bucket, of course that usually ends up coming out of dealers pocket instead of deeres. Grind a little at a time and test fit. Be sure to take off a little extra material then necessary because once painted it will tighten up some. Ive had to do this on 2 of the last 4 553's we have sold.
