What's the best cheap way to fix a wore out choke bypass spring on these?

Cheap is to solder the little disk to the hole and use more care when choking it. Jim

I agree 100 per cent. Solder the darn thing solid shut. Will work better than it ever did.

Interesting responses. My 656 has that goofy two piece choke butterfly also. Starts hard to won't start when it's cold. Give it a shot of either, starts right up. Tells me not getting enough fuel when cold which I have suspected the choke butterfly. Turning it into one piece is on the hot list.
