560 Injector Pump

OK have fuel to pump but not to lines So i cracked line under pump nothing. I took inlet line off and return line off blew air inet and return elbow spit , blew return line back to tank. put everything back to gather cracked bottom line again nothing. Now what? I only put about 4 gallons in the tank because this is a new engine rebuild and have to take tank back off to re -torque. So, i was wondering if there is enough pressure im sure there is because when i take line off to pump it pours.

You changed filters and then bled air out good now no fuel to the pump is what you are saying? I would try a bit more time on the bleeding to make sure all the air is out of the lines to the pump. Might try a rag in the filler neck with a bit of air to help it flow through to the pump. Crack a few injector lines at the injectors and see if you get fuel there when you roll it over. If not then you still have to get that out. It has been a while since I was around a 560D It is possible you just barely have enogh fuel to flow well enough to bleed it all. Not saying to fill the tank but maybe put in another couple gallon to make sure or measure with a stick. Some of those tanks have a stand pipe about an inch high and you would need to be over that to have good fuel flow. How long has this engine been down.Might be the low pressure pump has gone bad if it sat long or even the main injector pump has something stuck in it in the off position not letting fuel through to the injectors. Hopefully DieselTech will come along with that information.

How long since the pump worked on a running engine? If it's been awhile pump MAY have stuck internal parts from setting and will never work until it's torn completely
down for cleaning. Best way I've found to air bleed the fuel system on glow plug engines is to leave all glow plugs out so engine cranks easier. Leave all injector lines
loose and crank engine until the pump gets fuel to all injectors. Now tighten injector line nuts and crank again until you see air/fuel mix blow out all glow plug holes.
Replace all plugs, heat them and start engine.

ok here is a dumb questions but it's been so long since i ran this tractor. I posted earlier that i have fuel coming out the elbow that is the return line after letting it sit overnight. So, does that mean the pump is on or off? I cant remember which way the lever should be because i still have no fuel when i crack the bottom line on the pump. I know i'm sounding stupid but I can't remember i took a bunch of pictures on my phone but lost them.

I have fuel to the pump and fuel coming out the elbow for the return line but when i cracked one of the injectors line on bottom of pump no fuel. So, i asked my son how much fuel did we put in he said two jugs which i only put 4 gallons in each jug so 8 gallons so that should be more than enough The only other things is should i have fuel coming out the return elbow would that mean the lever on the pump is off and not on ? I took a bunch of pictures but lost them because i apparently did not back them up. Help
