5600 radiator shroud

Hi.
Recently purchased a fixer upper 5600. The tractor is missing its radiator shroud. Can this alone cause the tractor to overheat? Just driving around, the heat gauge gets very near the red. The motor has been overhauled by a reputable rebuilder. Coolant looks clean and is at the correct level. Thinking the radiator may need work. Wondering about the shroud tho. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks

Use a temperature gun to check actual temps, upper radiator tank, lower radiator tank, remove cap and check coolant temp
Gauges on these tractors are not 100 % accurate

Before installing the shroud check for blockage between the radiator fins. It will be easier to see and to clean without the shroud
