'57 311 Ring Gear

Can anyone give me the correct part number for a flywheel ring gear for a '57 311 gas tractor? Looks like my options are G11274 (124 tooth) and VT4524 (96 tooth). I tried to start the old girl the other day and she instantly made the worst clanging and knocking imaginable. Pulled the starter to have a look and could only shake my head.

I have a guy who will fix it IF I can find the part. If not, are there any other options (weld?, different ring and starter), or just part her out?

Count the teeth on your starter, a 96 tooth ring gear will have a 10 tooth starter. A 124 tooth ring gear will have a starter with more teeth, not sure but I think it's 12.

Thanks for the tip! The starter has 10 teeth, so that told me which to look for and fortunately John Saeli carries it. It's on the way.
