I've had my 574 for 5 years now.Never any brake issues.Last winter, while removing snow, they suddenly went out.If I bleed them [ there is alot of air in lines ] they'll work for a couple days, then go out again.Where could all this air come from?I had a leaking steering cylinder, but fixed it.Tractor has virtually no oil leaks.

Hi Todd, Make sure there is plenty of Hytran in transmission. How is your power steering? If PS is weak then possibly MCV valve is sticking and insufficient hydraulic oil is being delivered to PS, PB and oil cooler. Your problem could be caused by leaking brake wheel cylinders or worn master cylinder. You said there are no hydraulic leaks from the brake lines that run from under dash along top of transmission and into rear axle under the seat. One of the improvements on the 84 Series was the addition of a plastic hydraulic oil reservoir for the brake master cylinder. This eliminated air into master cylinder when engine was off.
To test for wheel cylinder leaks, bleed brakes, shut off tractor and let it sit for a couple days and before starting engine, depress the brake pedals one at a time. If the pedal goes to the floor board then that wheel cylinder is leaking.

Hope this helps
