I think the one is in pounds and you need to do a conversion on currency.

I am in Canada and import a lot of parts from the UK because its cheaper. Even with currency conversion and shipping that wont come near $800.

The second option is an aftermarket replacement. It is probably common cast iron and likely not up to the standards of an original part. I assume the listing at Messick's is for an original.

The conversion isn't THAT much. I think the worst it's ever been is around 2 USD to 1 UKP.

$80 is still less than $800, but you also have to make sure you're talking apples for apples here, the same part. Someone could have put something in the system incorrectly.
