574 transmission pump

With warm engine my transmission lube pump warning light comes on. A pressure check show almost no pressure at idle and very little at higher RPMs. Not enough flow in the circuit to be measured on my flow meter. How is this pump removed? According to the manual it can be done with access through the MCV and right side opening. Impossible! Will removing the top cover under the seat be of any help? Maybe a complete transmission tear down? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!!

It should come out when you remove the MCV both bolted together. PTO comes out through the right side hole. You will need to drain the oil first. I would pull the shift iron off around the levers and maybe the seat plate fro easier access to the lines and linkage. There will be the PTO linkage,Filter housing and a few lines. The filter can stay with the MCV or be removed your choice. I would leave it on for now.

They come out . Did you remove the two locating set screws directly under pump , one on top of the other on the out side of housing? You don't indicate what it is you cannot disconnect or remove.

top cover is a lot of work and unnecessary to do the job. Pulling MCV is the easiest way. Other wise it might come out as you say though I have never tried it. IT also has been many years since I have had to remove ours.

This may sound silly but have you checked transmission fluid oil?
Have you checked condition of filter
Have you checked oil cooler at front ?
