58 ford Workmaster minor overhaul

Thanks to all that helped out, my seized crank ended up I flipped my rod caps from 1234 to 4321, I went on a hunch and that fixed it. I got the tractor running today, I cleaned out the carb but i think i have some issues. It fires up and runs smooth until a load is put on it, not sure the best way to adjust it.

Are you saying that you didn't have No 1 cap on No 1 rod and No 2 cap on No 2 rod etc? That is kinda why they are number so you can get the right cap matched up with the right rod!!

True, but you gotta learn some time and this is a lesson that will probably not be easily forgotten!

This is very true. Sometimes you need to learn things the hard way to remember them.

I was on a job once where a oiler was putting clamps on wire cable. The operator was just standing there letting him do it wrong. When I asked why he did not say something his reply was.
I told him at least 5 times how to do it right. Now when he has to take it all apart and do it again he might remember how to do it right.
As far as I know it worked.

It is easy to remember how to install wire rope clamps if you just remember the saying..........
You never saddle a dead horse.
