580d pump

I have a 207 in a 580d backhoe it idles really bad like the pump is surging . is there any adj.to take care of this . or is it time for a new pump? thanks

1st thing I'd do is replace the fuel filters, if you haven't already.

As John said make sure the filters are fresh, also, how fast is it idling? I would make sure it is at 950-1000 rpm. Also, make sure the engine mounts are good and not pounded out as the engine moving around will feed back into the throttle rod and cause what you are experiencing. They will also cause a severe vibration at certain rpms.

I replace the motor mounts about 200 hrs ago . I put filters on it today didn"t seem to help . thanks for the help
